One of the organizations created to help all Americans is Health and Disability Advocates, which provides people with advocates when dealing with the Social Security Administration's disability programs. It can't hurt to check on whether or not you're eligible to take part, especially if you're disabled or having problems getting disability.

Keep an eye on the status of your health and disability benefits if you switch from full to part time work; many employers will want to cut your benefits if you start working fewer hours. If the rules make no sense to you, discuss them with a capable lawyer to get a better understanding.
