Not all injuries from a car accident are immediately evident. Your attorney may require you go to a doctor and may request test or x-rays immediately after the accident. Follow through and complete all required appointments.
Once you select an attorney and pay a retainer you have hired the attorney. If you are not satisfied with your attorney be aware they may or may not have to return some or all of the retainer, be sure to choose someone you want to work with and not the first attorney you speak with.
Most attorneys will offer a one time free consultation where they will review your case and provide you with ideas on how your case will play out. Ask questions and be sure you understand and are comfortable with what the attorney is suggesting as a strategy.
